q I worked closely with the infection control Doctor and Nurse in day-to-day duties that include the education of those involved with the infection control issues during my MRCPath Training in the UK (Nov 1999 – Aug 2000).
q I attended a number of modules out of the MSc Genetic Epidemiology running in the University of Sheffield during Sep – Feb 1999 (Human Genetics, Epidemiology 1 and Epidemiology 2).
q One week training at Cambridge Public health and clinical Microbiology laboratory during which I became familiar with PCR-based detection methods of viral genomes in various clinical samples under the supervision of Dr Jim Gray, (22nd – 26th May 2000).
q One-day visit to Antiviral Susceptibility Reference Lab., Birmingham-PHL during which I observed and discussed the methods used for HIV, HSV and HBV antiviral susceptibility with Dr. Patricia Cane.
q One-day meeting on Gastro-enteritis Viruses organized by Novartis Foundation (London).
